OSIsoft comes to the Gulf Coast
(24-Mar-08) OSIsoft is pleased to announce the grand opening of our newest training center in Houston, Texas. This training center features all of the amenities of our other training centers, including the latest software and brand new student workstations. Located just outside the beltway off I-10 in west Houston it is close to major airports. We look forward to serving our Gulf Coast customers with a full course schedule.
Training Incorporates AF 2.0
(24-Mar-08) OSIsoft recently announced the release of AF 2.0 and PI Notifications. Training on these topics are available as webinars (coming soon) and as a component of the PI System Manager II: Advanced Topics course. System Managers will learn to build PI Notifications, the first AF 2.x based application, and how the AF Server will be affected by High Availability. RtWebParts v2.0 Arrives!
(29-Aug-07) OSIsoft Training is pleased to announce a new version RtWebParts User and Administration course. In the original 2 day class we prepared you to install, use, and manage RtWebParts in a Microsoft SharePoint portal environment. The new, version 2.0 of the course has grown to 3 days to include even more hands-on exercises on the popular topics of displaying data, relational database queries, and connecting web parts; how to publish web-based versions of your PI DataLink Excel reports on your portal using the Excel Services and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) technologies; and more information on how to deploy your PI ProcessBook displays on the web and in the portal using PI ActiveView. The focus of the course is teaching you with the wide variety of ways you can distribute key data across the organization and the enterprise using RtWebParts.
OSIsoft CBT v2.0 Adds Student Testing, Language Localization, and other Advanced Features
(26-Jun-07) OSIsoft Training announces the release of the second generation Computer Based Training (CBT) Series. Our CBTs allow you learn at your own pace and within your schedule, in the comfort and convenience of your own environment. In the second generation discs (labeled with version 2.x) we used state-of-the-art development tools to bring you these new features:
- Quizzes at the end of each section to test your knowledge
- A new menu system that features hyperlinks within descriptive text as well as the traditional table of contents navigation method.
Also new to the CBT Series are different languages for the most popular disc, PI ProcessBook, PI DataLink, and RtWebParts. In this program we describe how to use all of the features of our most popular client tools that allow your organization to visualize your key data via the PI System. Languages include French, Portuguese, Japanese, Spanish, and Chinese, and are to be released throughout the remainder of the year. Please see the CBT Order Page for details on which languages are currently available in version 2.x.
The soon-to-be released v2.1 of the PI ProcessBook, PI Datalink, and RtWebParts (CBT) will be compliant with standard Learning Management Systems (LMS) for web delivery, test reporting, and user tracking. This offers customers student progress tracking and internet delivery via integration with a company wide LMS (through compliance with the SCORM v2.1 standard). Customers with a SCORM compliant LMS who want to participate in beta testing can contact Nick D'Orazio (nick@osisoft.com).
